In Loving Memory of Joe
February 26, 1991 – November 1, 2024
In the quiet woods of our Indiana homestead, there will never be another like Joe. After thirty years of friendship, Joe left this world on November 1, 2024, following an abrupt illness. He was more than a horse; he was the namesake and the very soul of this ranch and a direct soul connection to Rebecca. Joe was laid to rest on the land he loved, leaving behind a sanctuary built in his honor and a legacy of quiet strength that defines everything we do.
The Next Chapter: Lucky Joe
While the loss of a legend left a void, Joe’s sidekick, Lucky Joe, remained a steady light through the dreadful winter that followed. We are profoundly blessed that the universe brought Lucky Joe to us for this next chapter in our Horse Life.
After spending the spring of 2025 in intensive training, Lucky Joe has thrived, grown, and stepped into his own. While he could never replace the original, he carries the torch forward with a spirit all his own. Today, he represents the resilience of the ranch and the bright future of our equine journey.
Lucky Joe has a friend now!
More of the story continues to unfold as we attracted another sweet soul that we've decided to nickname 'Dandy'. During our first spring and his official shedding, he did one big POOF and was down to his summer coat....BEAUTIful in so many ways. He's a gorgeous honey color and cannot wait to share more on this page!
